Teaching in Alaska

Alaska, the Last Frontier, provides a truly exhilarating experience unparalleled in the rest of country. Living or working in the urban areas of Alaska is much like anywhere else in the Lower 48, but with better scenery and fishing! However, urban centers only reflect a small portion of the state. The vast majority of Alaska, known as the Bush, is not connected to the North American road network, with some areas only reachable by airplanes, boats, or snowmobiles.

Alaska is not able to fill its annual demand for teachers from in-state university programs and as a result, most teachers are recruited from other parts of the country. So come and teach! Your country is calling on you again.
