After her military service, retired Army Captain Heatherann Bozeman found her new calling in a high school classroom. With the help of the Troops to Teachers program, she was able to transition smoothly from one career into the other.
Transitioning from military service to the civilian workforce can be challenging. DANTES wants to help you use your skills and continue to serve – in our nation’s classrooms. The Troops to Teachers program focuses on careers in teaching K-12 students in public, charter and Bureau of Indian Affairs schools.
Making the transition from military service to the civilian population is no walk in the park. The good news, there are avenues to make that transition easier and productive for those seeking that second career. One hard-charger, Mr. Kane Swaney of Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, Delaware made that transition with the help of Troops to Teachers.
