Troops to Teachers has helped more than 19,000 Veterans successfully transition to a career in K-12 education. Due to an urgent and unmet need to fill teaching positions in critical need subject areas and certain geographic locations, we work to establish and maintain relationships with school hiring officials to promote the program and increase employment opportunities.
Troops to Teachers maintains a nationwide network of volunteer mentors who provide local level guidance and support. To request the support of a mentor, contact your state office.
Once you have succesfully transitioned to teaching, you may want to assist fellow veterans with their transition to the classroom.
