New Mexico needs an Army NCO Instructor

A New Mexico high school seeks a motivated Army Instructor (retired Army NCO type) to work with the Army JROTC Scorpion Battalion. Applicant requirements include certification by Army Cadet Command as a JROTC instructor, some background in education, and possesses an articulate ability when working with young adults. Experience with drill and ceremony and experience with supply would be a plus. MOTIVATION IS MANDATORY! Curriculum is already developed at the national level and consists of citizenship, first aid, leadership, geography, U.S. history, drill and ceremony, marksmanship, land navigation, and rifle marksmanship.

The hiring location offers a great place to live with fair housing prices, outdoor recreation, and outstanding trout fishing on the San Juan and nearby Colorado rivers. The job offers employment in a brand new school building and classrooms. There is also a stipend for coaching drill. The program consists of approx. 120 students annually.
